CRITERIA FOR RETURNING TO SPORT AFTER ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION:
latest recommendations from the literature
Following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, patient aiming at returning to contact and pivoting sports must follow the recently described continuum of return to sport.
Throughout the progress, workload and joint load increase, inducing highest injury risk. Therefore, objective criteria appear essential in the decision to authorize the transition from one stage to another, that can help the decision with respect benefice/risk balance and balance between tissue healing and functional recovery.
